Do I Need An Estimate?

A pre-move survey is needed to determine the approximate cost of a move and the amount of van space your goods will occupy. Movers of San Antonio will compute the approximate cost and give you a written Estimate/Order for Service. An accurate estimate cannot be calculated without a visual survey of the goods to be moved. Can I Pack My Clothes In A Chest Or Dresser Drawers?
Yes. Lightweight clothing - sweaters, shirts, blouses, and lingerie - may be left in the drawers. Do not fill drawers with heavy items such as books, table linens or sheets, which can damage the piece of furniture during transit. Does Movers of San Antonio do flat rate moves?
We don't do flat rates moves because there are often items that are not listed on original shipping list. This causes additional unexpected charges during the move which often causes hardship for the customer. Since we charge on a hourly basis, it is easier for the customer to pick and choose which items are most important to move.BACK TO TOP
What if something breaks?
All moves are automatically covered by the standard liability (valuation) for the industry, which is $0.60 per pound per article. This amount will typically cover the costs required to repair damaged items, but not replace them. Certain items you have may not be adequately covered under this option. Another alternative is to purchase extra coverage through our third party provider or move the valuable or delicate items yourself instead. Example: A 100lb dresser is scratched or falls down a stair case and shatters into a million pieces. The payout would be 100lbs x .60cents/lb = $60.00. Boxes that the company does not pack cannot be claimed on unless there is obvious crushing do to mishandling so please make sure to keep the original packaging and let your movers know right away. Depending on the extent of the damage other factors Mover of San Antonio also reserves the option to send a repair man out in-place if a weight payout. Sometimes this works out better for both

Does Movers of San Antonio offer additional coverage?
Yes. Moving companies are allowed to accept a higher liability then standard valuation and charge for such additional liability valuation. This is NOT insurance coverage. This is a cheaper alternative to full value insurance coverage that will basically pay out to fix or repair items. With this coverage we will try to fix, repair or replace any item that is damaged. What about Tipping?
